Good dating profiles get attention - bad dating profile get ignored... and that's a FACT!

Internet dating sites are overflowing with eligible singles, all vying for the same attention, the competition can be fierce. To compete with all those personal ads, you need to write a profile that stands out from the rest, captures the readers attention, and makes them want to respond to you.  If not, you might miss out on meeting that perfect person.

Profiles featured below are written by real people and posted on various online dating sites. They should give you a general idea of "What Not To Do" when it comes to writing your own dating profile.

In your profile, avoid using all UPPERCASE letter. Not only does it make it harder to read, some e-mailers think that the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS, is like someone SCREAMING at them.

People not well versed in the English language should get someone else to write for them. Hard to read profiles with tons of spelling mistakes look BAD. Remember, always use the spell checker before posting your ad.
