Don’t be misled by IwantU’s somewhat risqué appearance. You might arrive at the site’s more adult sections at the start, but in fact this is a dating site that can be used to find a dating partner, discreet adults, swingers and groups, gay and lesbian personals. No matter who you want to meet, this dating site has someone for everyone.

The "IwantU" dating site is actually split up into three dating clubs. Dating is the softest of the three, where you can find a date or a long term relationship  Adult is for those seeking a more physical experience right away. Alternative is physical too… but the kinds of physical that you won’t find on HBO.

You’ll have to set up a separate profile for each area. This sounds like a bit of a pain at first, until you really think about it. You want your "adult" profile to read little hotter than your dating profile. And if your alternative profile reads like a Hallmark card, you’re not looking at much action. Most of the details (age, sex, body type, and so on) will be the same, but your self-description as well as the description of your ideal match will obviously differ. As always, uploading your picture is a definite must.

I have to admit I wasn't WOWED with the site's searching capabilities, pretty basic, only allowing you to search by age,  type of relationship you want, and by city or by distance from you. Another option is to ask "Aphrodite" to find matches for you. She will send you matches by mail  - daily  or weekly - you get to decide.

Searches bring up a list of matches, including pictures, but unless you’re a VIP member you won’t be able to actually see anything other than a small picture and their location, age, and desired partner.

Viewing larger photos will require a VIP membership, this has to do with many of them in the adult and alternative sections being somewhat "naked". They don’t want every lookee-loo in there poking around. But you get a pretty good impression of what’s going on, anyhow.

Speaking of VIP memberships, this dating site offers two different membership, Standard  and VIP Select, both are essentially the same, except for a few minor perks. If you want, skip the monthly membership all together and just buy Tokens, and pay only for the features you want to use. You can also earn free tokens by referring a friend, updating your profile, and by posting a magazine article.

There are two major things in IwantU’s favor. One, the price of a membership is rather inexpensive compared to most other dating sites. And with the extra discounts offered to loyal members, the price can drop to as little as $14 or so bucks for ninety  days. Two, the site boasts nearly ten million members, and that's a whole lot of people to choose from.
